My
thoughts: In all of Terra! In The Dreamer,
I absolutely LOVED really liked Dev. In The Dreamcatcher, I got to know him better, and now I love him even
more, if that was even possible. The
Dreamcatcher was awesome! I loved reading about Dev, and even though I
already knew what would happen because I’ve read The Dreamer, the author managed to keep it interesting.
I love Dev!
Do I even
have to start? I already stated how much I love Dev, and this book just made me
love him more. Not only is he really hot (not that I’m shallow or anything, but
I love a hot male as much as the next fangirl), but I also love that he can be
both really sweet and protective and sarcastic. I just love Dev.
The plot was good. I had already read The Dreamer, so I was a bit worried it
would be boring, that it wouldn’t feel different enough to enjoy the same story
again, but from another perspective, because I know that often happens with
books like this. Boy, was I wrong. I think it was really smart of Mellow to
make it a novella and not a full length novel, because that meant she could cut
out some things from The Dreamer that
wasn’t necessary, and add some new scenes that weren’t in The Dreamer. That kept the book interesting and kept me hooked, and
whenever I had to do something else, I kept wishing I could read, because I
needed more of Dev.
I also really liked seeing Terra from Dev’s
perspective. It was really different to see it from a nocturna’s eyes than from
Molly’s. And I really love this world the author’s created. Not only is it
really cool, but it feels so real! I’d almost forgotten how it is to read her
books, how you get so completely lost in them that you forget about everything!
The writing is out of this
world!
One of the things I love with this series is
the writing. Her characters really feel like more than just characters in a
book. They really go off the pages. I’ve read a lot of books, and I know that
writing like this is really rare. There is good writing and then there is
writing like this, that is just so real that it’s almost scary how an author
can, with just words on a page, make a Fantasy world feel so real.
After reading this, I need The Destined now more than ever! October
17th can’t come soon enough!
