Last year,seventeen-year-old Natalya Pushkaya was attending the School of Performing Arts in New York City. Last year, she was well on her way to becoming a professional ballerina. Last year, her father was still alive.

But a car crash changed all that—and Natalya can’t stop blaming herself. Now, she goes to a regular high school in New Jersey; lives with her onetime prima ballerina, now alcoholic mother; and has no hope of a dance career.

At her new school, however, sexy soccer player Antonio sees a brighter future for Natalya, or at least a more pleasant present. Keeping him an arabesque away proves to be a challenge for Natalya and his patient charms eventually draw her out of her shell.

When upsetting secrets come to light and Tonio’s own problems draw her in, Natalya shuts down again, this time turning to alcohol herself.

Can Natalya learn to trust Antonio before she loses him—and destroys herself? (synopsis from Goodreads)

Teaser Tuesday: Endlessly (Paranormalcy #3) by Kiersten White

Hosted by A Daily Rhythm

This is a teaser from a book I just started reading (I started just a few minutes ago, actually), so I haven't gotten very far.

"Here's the thing about dragons: I know absolutely nothing whatsoever about them. Which made my task to scare raccoons out of the alley behind the diner much more complicated."

Title: Endlessly
Author: Kiersten White
Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy, Romance
Publication date: July 24th 2012
Publisher: HarperTeen
Synopsis:
Kiersten White’s New York Times bestselling Paranormalcy trilogy comes to a breathless conclusion with a signature mix of wit, romance, paranormal creatures, and a truly original heroine.

In Endlessly, pink-loving, butt-kicking Evie has way too much on her to-do list. Paranormals are begging her to open a faerie gate so they can leave the human world, something Evie’s not sure she has the power to do. The Dark Queen is torturing humans and must be destroyed.

On top of all that, Evie’s prom is coming up. She’s not sure what to wear, and, oh, yeah, her shape-shifting boyfriend, Lend, has been cursed so that he falls into an enchanted sleep whenever he and Evie are in the same room…and even Evie’s ex-boyfriend, the faerie Reth, can’t reverse the dark magic.

An epic battle is looming, and the choices Evie makes will determine the fate of whole paranormal world—and her own life.

Keen Cover Friday: Thief of Lies (Library Jumpers #1) by Brenda Drake

Hosted by Keep Booked

This week I picked the cover of Thief of Lies, because I totally love that cover. First, I love the colour Purple. Second, I love the way the colour theme makes the cover look so mysterious and magical, and the pink globe she's holding in her hand just adds to the feel. Also, they really succeeded with the cover model.

Waiting on Wednesday: Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices) by Cassandra Clare

I'm back! Sorry for the long leave, but now I'm back again.

Today, I picked Lady Midnight, the first book in the new series by Cassandra Clare. Now, I know a lot of people are upset because she's writing another series set in the same world, but I'm really looking forward to it. I'm really looking forward to reading about Emma and Julian. I liked them in City of Heavenly Fire, and I'm looking forward to getting to know them better.

Blog Tour and Review: Thief of Lies (Library Jumpers #1) by Brenda Drake

I reviewed this as part Thief of Lies Blog Tour. Below, you can enter a giveaway and read the top ten reasons why Arik is swoon-worthy.

Title: Thief of Lies
Author: Brenda Drake
My rating: 5 hearts
Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy, Romance
Publication date: January 5th 2016
Publisher: Entangled Teen
Synopsis: Gia Kearns would rather fight with boys than kiss them. That is, until Arik, a leather clad hottie in the Boston Athenaeum, suddenly disappears. While examining the book of world libraries he abandoned, Gia unwittingly speaks the key that sucks her and her friends into a photograph and transports them into a Paris library, where Arik and his Sentinels—magical knights charged with protecting humans from the creatures traveling across the gateway books—rescue them from a demonic hound.

Jumping into some of the world's most beautiful libraries would be a dream come true for Gia, if she weren’t busy resisting her heart or dodging an exiled wizard seeking revenge on both the Mystik and human worlds. Add a French flirt obsessed with Arik and a fling with a young wizard, and Gia must choose between her heart and her head, between Arik's world and her own, before both are destroyed.
