Review: Fall with Me (Wait for You #4) by J. Lynn

Title: Fall with Me
Author: J. Lynn, Jennifer L. Armentrout
My rating: ❤❤❤❤❤
Genre: New Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Publication date: March 31st, 2015
Publisher: Avon
Summary: Jennifer L. Armentrout, New York Times bestselling author of the Wait for You series, delivers a new novel of first love, second chances, and scorching chemistry between an artistic bartender and the tough, sexy cop who's determined to win her.

Roxy's loved Reece Anders since she was fifteen, so when the straitlaced cop finally surrendered to a steamy encounter years later, Roxy hoped he'd fall for her, too. He didn't. Or that's what she's always believed. But then Reece storms back into her life when the man who injured her childhood friend is out of prison and wanting to make amends—something Roxy cannot do.

The last thing she wants is to go there with Reece again, but he's determined to prove to her that he's exactly what she needs. Especially when a sick creep starts messing with her. But what's more dangerous to Roxy—a psycho after her or the past that refuses to let go and allow her to open up her heart again? (summary from Goodreads)

My thoughts: J. Lynn has done it again! She has to be the only author so far who never fails to impress me with her books. Not only is the writing very good, but the plot is exciting and there isn’t one page where something doesn’t happen, so it’s impossible to put it away (says the girl who finished it in one day). I was trapped between not wanting to put it away until I finished it, and put it away so that it would last longer. The first won out.
Fall with Me is about Roxy, who we met in Stay with Me. She works as a bartender at Mona’s, and is a friend of Calla. Roxy is very artistic. Her best friend was in an accident when they were in high school, and was permanently injured. She still visits him every Friday.
She’s been in love with Reece since she was in high school, and they’re friends, until one night something happens between them that make her avoid him at all costs.
And Reece is so swoon-worthy! I’m going to prove it with a swoon-worthy quote.

“Remember everything I said in the bedroom? I'm scared, too. And there are times I question what I deserve, but we're in this together. So fall with me," he said, smoothing his thumbs along my cheekbones. "Let yourself go and fall with me, and baby, I will catch you. I will get you through this. You just got to take that risk.”

I can’t decide whether to cry, swoon or have a massive fangirl attack, and just end up doing all three things.
   J. Lynn just never disappoints. Instead, her stories just get better and better, which seems impossible. I think I’ll have to create a new rating scale for her books. It’s sexy, it has an interesting, intriguing plot, a funny main character, and some swoon-worthy romance. What more could I ask for? The characters are very relatable. I loved Roxy. I knew that she was an awesome character already, I figured that much when I read Stay with Me, but somehow she managed to get me to like her even more throughout Fall with Me.
You also get to meet all the characters from the previous books.
I cried, I laughed, I fell in love with Reece. I had fangirl attacks. I held my breath. I got so invested in the characters that it’s ridiculous.
Fall with Me is captivating, suspenseful, edgy, unpredictable, and, most importantly, it’s not perfect, which makes it so real. It is my favorite so far in Wait for You series. I can’t wait to see what she does with Forever with You.
