I haven't done any of these in ages, you guys, but I'm really happy and excited about this! I have a great quote to share with you today, from The Alchemists of Loom that I just recently (a few days ago) read and fell in love with. Elise Kova is such an amazing author, and TAOL didn't disappoint. I know it's not even a month into 2017, but I think it will be one of my favorite books of this year! Now, without further ado, let's check out my quote!Thursday, 7 April 2016

Thursday Quotables: Unearthly (Unearthly #1) by Cynthia Hand
Hosted by Bookshelf Fantasies
Welcome back to Thursday Quotables! This weekly feature is the place to highlight a great quote, line, or passage discovered during your reading each week. Whether it’s something funny, startling, gut-wrenching, or just really beautifully written, Thursday Quotables is where my favorite lines of the week will be, and you’re invited to join in!
My pick for Thursday Quotables this week is Unearthly by Cynthia Hand.
Synopsis:
In the beginning, there's a boy standing in the trees...
Clara Gardner has recently learned that she's part angel. Having angel blood run through her veins not only makes her smarter, stronger, and faster than humans (a word, she realizes, that no longer applies to her), but it means she has a purpose, something she was put on this earth to do. Figuring out what that is, though, isn't easy.
Her visions of a raging forest fire and an alluring stranger lead her to a new school in a new town. When she meets Christian, who turns out to be the boy of her dreams (literally), everything seems to fall into place and out of place at the same time. Because there's another guy, Tucker, who appeals to Clara's less angelic side.
As Clara tries to find her way in a world she no longer understands, she encounters unseen dangers and choices she never thought she'd have to make between honesty and deceit, love and duty, good and evil. When the fire from her vision finally ignites, will Clara be ready to face her destiny?
Unearthly is a moving tale of love and fate, and the struggle between following the rules and following your heart. (summary from Goodreads)

Now to my quotes.
This sentence is just pure awesomeness! I really agree with Clara on this one. Girls take way too much crap from boys, and I think we should stop (not saying all girls do, but a lot of girls do). The author gets extra points for telling girls (indirectly) to stop taking crap from boys. Don't let boys treat you bad, girls!
Another wise quote. I love when you can find wise quotes that can really teach you something in fantasy books. It makes it feel much more real (even though angels aren't very real).
And lastly, of course, there is a funny quote! I picked this one because I love the reference. I'm in a classic kind of mood, and Cinderella is a classic, so I loved this reference. And it's funny. I really love when authors finds new, surprising, funny ways to descride things, instead of just saying 'I felt sad and abandoned', or something boring like that.
That was it for this week! What did you Think of the quotes? Did you like them, or do you have other favorite quotes from Unearthly? Or do you have Another Thursday Quotables? Tell me in the comments section! ↓↓↓↓↓

Thursday Quotables: City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments #2) by Cassandra Clare
My choice for Thursday Quotables is City of Ashes, the second book in The Mortal Instruments, by Cassandra Clare. I know I quoted City of Bones only two weeks ago, but there is simply so many fantastic quotes in Cassie's books, so here are some of my favorite quotes from City of Ashes:
As usual, tons of sarcasm, this time from Jace.
This is one of my favorite quotes ever. It's so sweet, and I really agree with Clary on this one.
And this is just hilarious. You only find conversations like this in something written by Cassandra Clare. As usual, her books invite you to cry, laugh, yell and have regular fangirl attacks (just wait until I start re-reading City of Glass. That's what I call an emotional roller-coaster).
So, what quotes made you cry or laugh this week? Did you love the quotes as much as I did, or do you have other favorites from City of Ashes, or from Another book? Your comments always make me smile, so comment away!

The Iron Queen
by Julie Kagawa
My pick for Thursday Quotables this week is The Iron Queen, the third book in the series The Iron Fey.
I love this quote because I love all interaction between Puck and Ash. I mean, who doesn't?
Here, Kagawa mixes cute with funny, and I love it! And, who doesn't swoon a little when reading this? Now to the last quote this week:
I love this quote so much! I don't know how many times I've re-read this moment. It's so funny!
So, what did you think of my Thursday Quotables this week? Did you love the quotes just as much as I did, or do you have other favorite quotes from The Iron Queen, or do you have another Thursday Quotables altogether? Comment your thought!

Thursday Quotables: City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments #1) by Cassandra Clare
This week, I picked City of Bones as my Thursday Quotables, because I am currently re-reading it, and I'm falling in love with the characters all over again, so here are some of my favorite quotes (although not all of them, but if I were to put all my favorite quotes from CoB here, this post would never end):
I just love Simon's sarcasm!
Now to some more sarcasm, this time by lovely Clary.
After all that sarcasm, we need something really meaningful. This quote has me crying everytime. I just want to jump inside the book and hug Jace. Or kiss him. I just don't know how Cassandra Clare can come up with all these perfect quotes. It's part of what makes her series so great. Re-reading TMI will definitely be as good an experience as it was the two first times I read it.
So, what did you think of the quotes? Did you love them as much as I did, or did you have another favorite part in the book? Or did you have another Thursday Quotables? Comment your thoughts!

Apollyon (The Covenant #4)
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I've been waiting for so long to read Apollyon, and so far, I'm totally in love with it. Here are some quotes that I just loved:
I added this quote because I just love whenever JLA uses Supernatural references.
Next quote just really made me laugh. I had to put the book down for several minutes to calm down before I could continue!
The last quote I picked is a little Aiden/Alex, because I couldn't resist!
What did you think of the quotes? Do you have any other quotes you'd like to share? Comment!
